The Community Empowerment Program is a comprehensive developmental initiative launched by Tawasol to support children, women, and youth through a set of integrated interventions designed to raise awareness, build skills, and provide psychological and social support that ensures balanced growth and sustainable economic independence.
The program relies on strong institutional partnerships to reach the most vulnerable groups and create meaningful, long-term impact. Its methodology combines capacity building, psychosocial support, skills development, and community-based empowerment, while fostering supportive environments that sustain results over time.

Child Empowerment

This component focuses on improving the psychological and social well-being of children—particularly those in alternative care settings—by providing holistic support that strengthens emotional growth and enhances social connectedness.
Tawasol implements the Child Empowerment Program in cooperation with SOS Children’s Villages Egypt, through a formal partnership covering Cairo, Tanta, and Alexandria. The program delivers specialized psychosocial interventions that build resilience, support healthy adaptation, and improve overall quality of life within alternative care environments.

The program includes:

  • Individual and group psychological support sessions
  • Training for caregivers on positive communication and child behavior management
  • Life skills programs such as emotional expression, problem-solving, and self confidence
  • Interventions aimed at improving the psychological climate within care environments

Women Empowerment – “Ihyaa” Initiative

This component targets marginalized women by providing economic and psychological empowerment that enhances their participation in society and improves their overall quality of life.
Ihyaa is a community-driven initiative launched by Tawasol to equip women with vocational and quick-income skills, implemented in collaboration with local NGOs. The initiative has significantly improved family stability and reduced dependency on external aid, fostering dignity, self-reliance, and long-term resilience among women and their households.

The initiative provides:

  • Vocational training in fast-income crafts such as embroidery, handicrafts, and home-based skills
  • Psychological support sessions to strengthen women’s ability to cope with stress
  • Training in basic marketing and small-business management
  • A supportive community network to help participants maintain their progress

The Youth Empowerment component develops the professional and personal capacities of young people, helping them integrate into the labor market or launch their own projects through entrepreneurship skills and innovative thinking.
Tawasol is a strategic partner in the National School of Entrepreneurship Alliance, delivering specialized training programs led by experts from both the public and private sectors. These programs integrate psychological support to ensure sustainable social, professional, and emotional development.

The program includes:
